HMS Resolution, part of the Revenge-class battleships, served in various roles from WWI to WWII.
In WWI, she avoided combat due to strategic shifts after the Battle of Jutland. During the interwar period, she operated in the Atlantic and Mediterranean Fleets, with notable missions in Turkey and the Black Sea. In WWII, she was initially assigned to the Channel Force and later to convoy escort duties in the North Atlantic.
She participated in the Battles of Narvik and was involved in actions at Mers-el-Kebir and Dakar. Damaged by a torpedo, she underwent repairs before joining the Eastern Fleet, where she escorted convoys in Africa.
Returning to Britain in 1943, she was decommissioned in 1948 and later scrapped.
